Globally, 90% of pregnant women are diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM). In India, the reported prevalence rate is between 4.6%–14% in urban areas and 1.7%–13.2% in rural areas. Undiagnosed or inadequately managed GDM can lead to significant maternal and fetal complications.
